Meet Webb City High School's Admin Team

MR. JEFF WILKIE

Principal

Mr. Wilkie is beginning his fourth year as principal of Webb City High School and has been a dedicated member of the Webb City School District for six years. Prior to joining Webb City, he spent 28 years in education in both Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and McDonald County, Missouri.

Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of roles, including Science Teacher, Weight Training Instructor, Head Football Coach, Athletic Director, and Assistant Principal. Mr. Wilkie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Science, a Master’s Degree in Administration from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma, and a Specialist Degree in Administration from William Woods University.

MR. FLAVE DARNELL

Assistant Principal

Mr. Darnell is entering his fourth year as Assistant Principal at Webb City High School and beginning his 26th year in public education, eight of which have been with the Webb City School District. He began his teaching career in 2000 at Carl Junction, where he spent 18 years teaching Social Studies and coaching baseball. During his first four years in Webb City, he taught 6th-grade special education, high school social studies, and also coached baseball.

Mr. Darnell holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri Southern State University and a Master’s degree in Secondary Administration from Missouri State University.

He is married to Casey Darnell, a Title I Teacher at Eugene Field Elementary, who is beginning her 24th year in education. Together, they have a son, Kaylor, who will be a sophomore at Missouri Southern State University, majoring in Industrial Engineering.

MRS. COURTNEY ESCOTO

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Escoto brings 14 years of experience in English education, having taught at Mt. Vernon High School, SeeWorth Academy (OK), Joplin High School, and most recently, Webb City High School, where she has served for the past two years.

Throughout her career, she has developed a strong passion for teacher professional development, which began during her involvement with the National Writing Project as a college student. Mrs. Escoto holds a Bachelor of Science in English Education and a Master of Science in Educational Administration, both from Missouri State University.

MRS. ASHLEY EBBS

Assistant Principal

Mrs. Ebbs is beginning her first year as Assistant Principal at Webb City High School. This marks her second year serving as an assistant principal, having previously held the role in McDonald County School District.

With a decade of experience in education, Mrs. Ebbs spent the majority of her teaching career at Mark Twain Elementary in Webb City. A proud graduate of Webb City High School, she is excited to return to her roots and contribute to the success of students in her hometown. 

Mrs. Ebbs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. She also earned an Educational Specialist Degree in School Administration from Northwest Missouri State University.
