Library Media Center - Book Finder

If you are wanting to see what books we have available in our library, please use the link below to search for books by author, title, series, subject, or keywords. We also have a limited selection of titles available in ebook form through Overdrive.

SORA

    • The library is open from 7:35 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. every school day.
      • Additional information can be found on the WCHS Library Media Center Canvas Course
      • On days the library will be closed, an email will be sent to students. (Sometimes the library closes for large group testing, meetings, etc.)
    • Students cannot come to the library or sit in the breezeway during lunch, they must report to the cafeteria.
    • During class hours, students must be accompanied by a teacher or present a signed hall pass from the teacher.
      • Students coming to the library without a teacher are required to sign in and sign out on the Chromebook at the front desk. This includes if you are visiting the Tech HelpDesk.
    • During Cardinal Time, students can only check books in/out, pick up items they printed, pick up a reserved hotspot, or visit the Tech HelpDesk. Students are not allowed to work or hang out in the library or in the breezeway during Cardinal Time.
    • Students visiting the Library or Tech HelpDesk will not disturb classes or other students who are also using the library.
  • There are two ways to access the Print Request Form:

    1. On the left side of the Bookmarks Bar in Chrome, students will find a folder with commonly used websites. The Print Request Form is located in that folder as well.
    2. In the WCHS Library Media Center Canvas Course, students can click on the “Students” button on the home page. Then there will be a “Printing Request” button.
    • Yes! Using your Webb City Google account, you can log in to  soraapp.com/library/webbcitymo

      • Additional information can be found on the WCHS Library Media Center Canvas Course

    • You also can access ebooks and magazines from Missouri Libraries 2 Go through SORA. Please visit the HS LMC Canvas course for more details on how to access that library.
  • In order to check out a WiFi Hotspot:

    • The library must have a current permission form on file or verbal permission from the parent/caregiver. This must be updated each school year.
    • Permission forms and additional information can be found on the WCHS Library Media Center Canvas Course and at the circulation desk in the library

If you qualify to check out a hotspot, you will be notified via school email when a hotspot is available and ready for you to pick up.

Hotspots need to be returned before 1st block (7:45 a.m.) on the due date. Please make sure you put both parts of the charger back in the case along with the hotspot.

The hotspot data will automatically shut off on the due date and the hotspot will no longer be usable until it is returned to the library.
